What Is The Terror Barrier?

I’ve been learning from my mentor, Bob Proctor for a very long time and one of the things he’s passionate about teaching is Paradigm Shifts and The Terror Barrier.

It’s funny but I do get asked that during my training programs and once I share the diagram that was introduced to me about what it is and how it stops people from achieving their goals, dreams and ambitions, and keeps many from being in the top 3% who succeed, it’s like a lightbulb moment for them.

So today I decided that I would share a bit of my Thinking Into Results course training here to help someone else who may not want my coaching, but still needs a hand up to reaching their true potential.

Here it is. Bob Proctor explains the Terror Barrier and how to break through it…

This diagram is one I use from Lesson 7 of the Thinking Into Results program I teach. I hope it gives you an idea of what you are up against.

I know for me it wasn’t until I was about a week into taking this lesson from the TIR program, that I clicked in to what Bob is talking about. You see I always thought that the barrier was a “kick in the gut” or “slam into a brick wall” feel to stop me from doing what I wanted, reach my goal or fulfill my dream. But NOOOOOOO, for me I discovered that it was more like “a whisper in the dark”. Littling things like, “What makes you think you are good enough?” “Why do you think you’d be any good at teaching?” “ What right do you have to think you deserve to succeed?” On their own, these little thoughts seem harmless, but in reality that was my HUGE hurtle, my Terror Barrier, keeping me stuck where I’d always been, doing what I’d always done.

I want you to know that no matter what that barrier looks or feels or sounds like to you, it IS possible, You ARE worth it and when you get through that block you’ll be surprised to look back and say, “That’s it? That’s what was hold me back?”

Like Bob says, once you get through the barrier then you are on the rest of that amazing journey to your dream. You’ll have to start over and get through another barrier, but this time you’ll be ready.

Don’t give up, don’t quit, don’t get discouraged. You know you’re worth it and so is your dream.

If you think my Thinking Into Results program is something you’d like to know more about, let me know. I have a few openings left to fill this summer's 24 week program.
